After receiving my fine art degree from the University of Texas, Austin, I worked as an illustrator for a major department store in Dallas. Art was put aside to raise children and show Arabian horses but has recently become a driving force in my life. Inspired by the Impressionists and many talented contemporary artists, I use all mediums and find drawing to be at the core of my artistic expression. I have been awarded for these efforts in numerous art competitions including the Mission Purchase Award in the national Art for the Parks, the Brownwood Paint Off and the Barclay. Currently I teach art at an elementary school in Temple and have given demonstrations in Brownwood, Temple, Waco, Clifton and Fairfax Virginia. I look forward to teaching basic drawing skills this summer at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple. |
